Most children do not develop post-COVID syndrome after Omicron infection: Study

Most children carry the Omicron variant of coronavirus without any consequences for their health, suggests a new study.

However, the data is preliminary and it is not possible to determine the frequency of complications among children at present, said Deputy Director for Clinical Research of the Russian sanitary watchdog′s Gabrichevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Tatyana Ruzhentsova.

She added that most kids do not appear to have any consequences after being infected with the Omicron variant. However, some young patients have fatigue, headache, and a slight increase in temperature, and such children should be under medical supervision, usually under the supervision of a local pediatrician, she said...
